Tim is deeply rooted in the city of Detroit. He studied drawing and has extensive metal fabrication and welding training. His art is about repurposing found objects and using materials (granite, copper and wood) from buildings in Detroit. He is known by many as a visionary and an artist of unclaimed goods, dismantled, tossed aside gems - a treasure hunter devoted to reusing and recycling the architectural gems of the city of Detroit. "I rescue bits and pieces of Detroit history making them look like something other than what they originally were; not to just keep them around, but also to work through my own angst."
